Overview: Facilitating Change
Ancient Chinese philosopher Laozi encouraged, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." In the thousand mile journey each company confronts, HR leaders must (1) be igniters pushing the organization to take that next step in its journey, then (2) hold the organization steady in its new reality, and finally (3) ensure that leaders don't slip and pull the organization backwards.
In this RBL Institute mini-forum, Dave Ulrich and HR Executives from BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, Pfizer, Takeda, and Unilever explored the topic: "How to facilitate change".
Three themes emerged during the 60 minute discussion:
- Why: Building a rationale for change
- What: Lasting Change a pattern, not an event
- How: Create a shared meaning and accountability
